Chandipur is a resort town in the Balasore district of Odisha, situated on the shore of the Bay of Bengal. Its most distinctive feature is the "vanishing sea" phenomenon, where the seawater recedes by as much as 1 to 5 kilometers daily during low tide, allowing visitors to walk on the exposed seabed.
