Gangotri, nestled in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, is a revered Hindu pilgrimage site and one of the four Char Dhams. Situated at an elevation of approximately 3,100 meters on the banks of the Bhagirathi River, it is mythologically considered the origin of the sacred Ganga River.
