Mhow is situated approximately 23 kilometers (14 miles) southwest of Indore city. It was founded in 1818 by John Malcolm. The town is renowned for its military heritage, housing several premier training institutions of the Indian Army. Mhow is also culturally significant as the birthplace of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution.
