Stok is known for its historical and cultural significance. The Stok Palace, built in 1825 CE by King Tsespal Tondup Namgyal, serves as the current residence for the royal descendants of King Sengge Namgyal. The palace features a blend of traditional and contemporary architectural styles, beautiful gardens, and a library containing 108 volumes of the Kangyur (teachings of Lord Buddha).
